What is the difference between the sprint and the virgin mobile Rumor2 cell phone?
Dance-a-Holic asked:
I have a phone through virgin mobile and everyone in my family has virgin mobile phones- always have. I want one of those new texting phones, but I would like one thats not too pricey, and the minute packs dont cost a whole lot. I’m just wondering what the difference between the two. I know sprint on the website it said it was $50 and virgin was $130. Which one should I get?

The sprint is racy and the virgin has never been used.
The difference is that the $50 Sprint phone looks cheap because they stick you with a 2 year contract to give you that price. Pay Sprint $70 a month for 24 months and you have given them $1680. Of course they can afford to discount that phone. With Virgin Mobile prepaid (not Helio/Contract side), you have no obligations beyond a month to month deal so they make you pay full price for the phone, which is not that bad actually.
Do you want to save $80 but be in a two year contract? Would you rather have the freedom of prepaid? It is a question only you yourself can really answer.
Btw, Virgin Mobile runs on the Sprint network and was bought out by them recently. Expect changes at Vm , courtesy of Sprint.
