How can I transfer a cellphone wallpaper I made to my cell phone using a data cable?
Chrissy B asked:
Hi, I found a website that lets you pick an image on your computer or online and lets you turn it into a cellphone wallpaper, but after receiving a hefty bill from my cellphone carrier in the past for going online with my phone to shop for wallpapers, I wanted to use a data cable to transfer the image that way, but the thing is, I don’t know much about computers and I have no idea how to do it. Anyone know how? I have a data cable but when I plugged it into my phone and my computer it said I needed a cd and I don’t have a cd from my phone. I have the motorola ic402 hybrid if that makes a difference. If you know how I can do this I’d really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Hello. There are many websites that do this for you. Try 3Guppies.com. It’s pretty easy and they’re free. They can get stuff to your phone and from your phone.
Just go to and on the homepage at the bottom click on “Create Cell Phone Wallpaper”. Then just follow the instructions at the top. You just need to upload your image from your computer and enter your cell phone number. That’s it.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
You’re on the right track, because even if you find a website that’ll give you free wallpaper you’ll still have to pay to read the message they send you when they deliver it (which you’ve already discovered).
The usb cable option is a great way to go, but you’ll need software to recognize your phone and handle the transfer. I highly recommend a program called DataPilot, that works with all major phone types including Motorola.
DataPilot will let you copy ringtones, photos, videos, etc for free (well, aside from the cost of DataPilot, and there are coupon codes at the link below to help with that).
Try going online with your phone to
or
Then follow the directions and download a new image. “100% FREE”
Sounds like they ripped you off. lol
